My husband and I arrived in Uruguay in 2012 and we instantly fell in love with the "Balneario Kiyú". My name here is Leonora Frey - I had to get used again to my maiden name and at first I didn't react when I was called in the different offices.
We are retired and live on a 17 acres campo, near the beach. We are happy here, but it's also a lot of work. The gardening was frustrating in the beginning because of the loamy soil, my husband however never gave up and began to study how to improve the soil He planted a lot of trees and now we can say, that we already have some beautiful trees and bushes.
We are also into bio-construction and two of the eight adobe houses will be ready soon.
All in all I'm very thankful for the interesting life I have where I can learn everyday something.
