We once had
a dream to build adobe houses, to grow our own food and to enjoy nature. To
produce as little waste as possible and to recycle as much as possible. Now -
after some years here in Uruguay and some challenges - we can say, that we have
made some progress. It's not easy to grow food here, because the soil is rather
loamy. However my husband who doesn't know the word: that will not work, has
solved a lot of problems. He produces char coal and makes Tierra Preta. Also
mulch is important. Furthermore he builds raised bed gardens and nursery
tunnels
